Please note: Illinois FFA Foundation Drive is now completed. Donations will still be accepted, and certificates will still be given out this spring. They will, however, count towards the 2002-2003 Foundation Drive. The Illinois Foundation FFA is the organization that provides an avenue for businesses and individuals to cooperate with the FFA in encouraging agriculture students to improve themselves and their communities. Funds are solicited at the beginning of each school year by local individuals to support the foundation's many programs. These programs include Public Speaking, Parliamentary Procedure, various Career Development Events (Livestock, Crops, Meats, etc.), summer leadership camp, and scholarship awards. By far the largest program funded is the Illinois FFA Foundation Award competition. Awards are presented in 46 fields at Chapter, Section, District, and State levels. Awards fiels include production agriculture as well as agribusiness and natural resources. Members of all 306 chapters are eligible for these awards. |
