Meet the Advisor

As stated on the Home site, I am the new Ag Instructor. As such, I will use this space to introduce myself to you, the Bunker Hill Community.

My name is Brandon Ritter. I am a 1998 grad of SIU Carbondale, and currently a grad student of SIUC as well. I am recently married and the proud stepfather of a 6 year old boy.

In 1998 I student taught in Flora, IL. In 1999, I was hired at Hutsonville High School. After re-starting the Agriculture department, the position was cut down due to decreasing school enrollment.

In 2000, I taught at Central High School in Clifton. In Clifton, I worked with a very active FFA Chapter which was involved in many activities at the local to the state level.

Due to the my marriage this past sumemr, and wanting to return to an area near home, my wife and I started looking for a teaching position back in Southern Illinois or around the St. Louis area.

I have a proud FFA and 4-H background. I have been a member/officer of the Songer Hillbillies 4-H Club and an active FFA member/officer/alumni of the North Clay (Louisville) FFA Chapter. I have also been am member of the SIUC Collegiate FFA. My projects were as follows:

Leadership (4-H)
Communication (4-H)
Foods (4-H)
Computers (4-H)
Tractors (4-H)
Woodworking/Ag Mechanics (4-H/FFA)
Swine (4-H and FFA)
Home and Farmestead Improvement (FFA)
Soybeans (FFA)
